How To Cook Bulgur Wheat Recipe

2 cups water 1 cup dry coarse bulgur

Rinse the bulgur wheat under cold water in a fine-mesh sieve to remove any debris.

In a saucepan, bring 2 cups of water or vegetable broth to a boil.

Once the water is boiling, add the rinsed bulgur wheat to the saucepan.

Stir in a pinch of salt to enhance the flavor, if desired.

Reduce the heat to low, cover the saucepan with a lid, and let the bulgur wheat simmer for about 10-15 minutes, or until all the liquid is absorbed and the bulgur is tender.

Once cooked, remove the saucepan from the heat and let it sit, covered, for an additional 5 minutes to allow the bulgur to steam.

Fluff the bulgur wheat with a fork to separate the grains. You can drizzle a little olive oil over the bulgur and toss it gently to add some extra flavor and moisture.
